Welcome to the Chittlehamholt, Satterleigh and Warkleigh Village Hall website.
Chittlehamholt Village hall was built in the early 1980s in the parish of Chittlehamholt, Satterleigh and Warkleigh in North Devon. It is situated in Chittlehamholt village between the Exeter Inn (16th Century thatched inn), found in the middle of the village, and the High Bullen Hotel to the South. Click here for directions.
The hall has had extensive refurbishment over the years and more projects are being discussed to further modernise its facilities.
There is easy disabled access to the hall from the car park via a ramp. Through the main entrance there are the toilets (including a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities), a storeroom and the committee room.
From the foyer, through double doors, there is the main hall and kitchen. The main hall has a wooden floor and a large stage at the far end. It can accommodate up to 100 seated and 200 standing. The well equipped kitchen has been planned to provide a practical working area to meet the needs of all users and includes a serving hatch to the main hall.
Opposite the hall is the village shop which opens daily and stocks an extensive array of goods including fresh and frozen foods and local produce.
The large car park can accommodate approximately 60+ vehicles and is adjacent to the hall. Opposite the hall over the main village road there is a well equipped playing field with plenty of space for families to enjoy the facilities including the breath-taking views across the countryside.
